Thank you so much for your interest in training with us to become a wildlife carer.

To join Sydney Wildlife Rescue, attend our next Rescue and Care Course ONLINE.

The online course is self-paced and followed by a half day practical /orientation session (on a date to be announced) where you will learn some practical skills and meet other members of your branch.  This will be an in-person (COVID-Safe) component but will also mean that spaces on these days will have to be limited in order to keep the integrity of our COVID protocols.

The government Education Centre where we are holding our Practical Day has strict COVID protocols. If these protocols require the wearing of masks indoors on the day, there can be no exceptions without a medical certificate from your doctor.

Registrations are now open for the June online training. If the timing of the course doesn't work for you or you find that capacity has been reached when you try to sign up, rest assured that you will be given priority to join the course two months after this one if you have signed on to the waiting list.

We look forward to meeting you and having more qualified rescuers out there in the field.

    Kindest regards

    Trish Kroll
Training Coordinator – Rescue and Care Course
    Ph: 0428 428 766

Note: this course is provided to train new members who intend to rescue and/or care for animals at their own home.  You must have some facilities and quiet space in order to care for wildlife at home.

We also seek new members who are not able to rescue or care, but would like to volunteer in the Wildlife Office answering calls to the Rescue Line.

Please email training@sydneywildlife.org.au or phone 9413 4300 to enquire further.

If two family members are registering on this course (ie. partner / sibling over 18 living at the same address) - BOTH people must submit a separate registration form - with payment for each person.

PLEASE DON'T BE DISCOURAGED IF THE COURSE IS FULL  Join the Waitlist and you will be sent an invitation to join the next course two (2) months after this one.
