Sydney Wildlife Rescue now has the Mobile Care Unit in operation.

The Care Unit is available to all licensed wildlife carers, not just Sydney Wildlife volunteers. Any wildlife carer within NSW who is licensed by NPWS and is a member of a NPWS licensed wildlife rescue organisation, is invited to make a booking via the process detailed below.

Sydney Wildlife’s Mobile Care Unit

Sydney Wildlife Rescue’s Northern Beaches branch runs “Clinic” days every Thursday.

Every first Thursday will be spent at the Coastal Environment Centre in North Narrabeen (see map below.)

The other Thursdays, the mobile care unit will be in the parking lot of Frenchs Forest Veterinary Hospital at 24 Forest Way, Frenchs Forest. On these Thursdays, the mobile care unit will be parked on an active veterinary practice parking lot. It is important that our “footprint” remain as small as possible. Therefore, there will be absolutely NO PARKING in the vet practice parking lot. The map below details the location of the mobile care unit in Frenchs Forest and available parking areas.

Bookings can be made by sending an email to SWMobileCareUnit@gmail.com.

Please include:

1. Your name and mobile number

2. Wildlife Organisation membership (i.e., SWR, WIRES, etc.)

3. Record/Call number

4. Species of animal

5. Nature of injury/sickness

You will receive an email response within 24 hours.

All wildlife patients MUST be accompanied by a registered wildlife carer. Carers will be seen by appointment and are asked to please bring their current wildlife group membership card, their wildlife’s record number, and any notes pertinent to the animal’s condition.

Please be patient and respectful with our volunteer vets and the members running the Mobile Care Unit.
